Christmas Wishes

‘Ello, one and all. I thought I’d stagger towards the keyboard and wish you all a Happy Christmas before completing the speech I’m preparing for Barack Obama and David Cameron, both of whom I’ve invited for a slice of cake after our Christmas lunch. I’ve no desire to be rude to either of them, but our table is just not large enough to take them, their families, an assortment of detectives and a small parcel of spare parts for the helicopter as well as my own family.

Neither of them have replied yet but I’m quietly confident I will be hearing the sound of executive rotor blades some time during lunch tomorrow as the helicopter, complete with leather seats and on board burger bar settles on the roof of the apartment where we live.

Low key is the order of the day. Both of these guys are just ordinary folk at heart and I don’t want to embarrass them by making too much of a fuss. Poor old David. I know he can get an earful from the wife for the way he holds his fork, but I think the best thing to do is not to notice,

Needless to say I would love to invite a load of my blogging buddies along as well but we just don’t have the space. In the circumstances, let me offer you all a sincere merry Christmas, and say its been a real pleasure reading your words this year.

Low-key is the order of my whole weekend and day off tomorrow, but alas, no presidential deities or such. I think it’s better that way. I would hate all that security tracking dirt into my house. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

If the Queen can parachute in from a helicopter I don’t see why Barack and Dave can’t too!!!

Have fun and please do pass on my Best Wishes to them.

Oh yes and Happy Christmas to you too.

I’m sorry they haven’t responded to your invitations… it’s possible President Obama’s got lost when it arrived at the White House and the staff had to forward it to Hawaii.

Ducky… I love your silliness. You make me giggle and grin, two very important things in life!

Happy Christmas to you and your family. May it bring you joy and laughter!

    • I don’y know if you know, but Dave refused to eat his brussel sprouts. Its so important to eat your greens if you’re trying to lead the country

Hmmm… the First Lady won’t be happy about that. During the President’s first term she stressed the importance of a healthy diet–to include all manner of fruits and veggies. No sir, she will not be pleased at all!

Merry Christmas, ducks. Don’t be too disappointed if they don’t show, they promised to stop by my place first and I have a earful for them!

    • Ah, I expect you’re better cooks than we are. We had a few members of the secret service looking us over before the visit, and I think they were a bit shocked by the way I was cooking the vegetables
